Is this Facebooks new trick to silence conservatives? Use a “third party” to check news? Where is the appeal process? They also removed it from my Page. This is fascism at it’s best. I can show you and have CNN making up news and editing it to change its meaning. Do they remove CN’s stories?
Here is the story in question by Zero Hedge: It’s Now Against The Law In California To Shower And Do Laundry On The Same Day They state this from the actual Bill: “The bill, until January 1, 2025, would establish 55 gallons per capita daily as the standard for indoor residential water use, beginning January 1, 2025, would establish the greater of 52.5 gallons per capita daily or a standard recommended by the department and the board as the standard for indoor residential water use, and beginning January 1, 2030, would establish the greater of 50 gallons per capita daily or a standard recommended by the department and the board as the standard for indoor residential water use. The bill would impose civil liability for a violation of an order or regulation issued pursuant to these provisions, as specified.”
Here is their claim to average water use by the application. “Now, if you’re wondering where I get my assertion that you can’t shower and do laundry on the same day, here’s some math:
An 8-minute shower uses about 17 gallons of water
A load of laundry uses about 40 gallons of water
A bathtub holds 80 to 100 gallons of water
A dishwasher uses 6 gallons of water”
Here is the actual Bill: Assembly Bill No. 1668 Here we find the quote word for word!!
Here the La Times reports on it in California’s heavy water users could face penalties if drought persists They have a different spin but there is a Penalty for not complying “The law requires that violators of the new ordinances be penalized, and suggests a fine of up to $500 for every unit (748 gallons) of water used that a district deems excessive.
If a supplier chooses to adopt such an ordinance — a path most are expected to take because of legal concerns about rate setting — district officials are also required to create a way for customers to appeal their fine.”
They described it as a law and Zero Hedges math is fair: “In an average home, showers are typically the third largest water use after toilets and clothes washers. The average American shower uses 17.2 gallons ” and “Most high-efficiency washers use only 15 to 30 gallons (56.8 to 113.6 L) of water to wash the same amount of clothes as older washers (29 to 45 gallons per load “ This is what I found with a simple google search.
I ask who is fake news? PolitiFact or We The People’s News? This is another tool in the liberal utopia designed to take away our right to free speech and a free press!!
